Method of use
1. Surface preparation
- Steel : Blast all surface in accordance with SSPC-SP10(“Near White”, SIS Sa 2 1/2).
- Stainless steel: Degrease with solvent and sweep blast in accordance with SSPC-SP16.
- Surface profile: 40~75 μm
2. Environmental Conditions
- Over 5°C is ideal for painting and curing.
- The surface temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point to prevent moisture condensation.
- Relative humidity : up to 85
3. Application Equipment
- Conventional or airless spray, power mixer, brush, roller
- Airless spray: Tip size-0.017~0.021 inch,
Output pressure-150atm
- Thinning ratio: about 10%(vol)
- (*Airless spray data are indicative and subject to adjustment)
Safety Precautions for application
1) Mix the material according to designed mixing ratio and use after stirring it until uniformly blended. And, Use the mixed paint within pot life.
2) When used in rainy day, high humidity(Over 85%) day, low temperature(Under 5°C) condition, avoid the painting.
3) Even if you use same product(color, lot), the painting equipment and method(thinning ratio) can cause different color. So, you should check the color before using it.
4) It is possible to apply up to 400μm with multiple coats.(Excessive D.F.T can cause crack and peeling off at high temperature condition)
5) If recoating time is passed, surface preparation by sand paper is needed to all surface and apply the next coating.
6) This paint is epoxy paint. So, it can cause yellowing and chalking in exposed area. (Even within the recoating time,
remove chalking and dust before recoating.)
Safety Precautions for handling
1) Store it indoor (5~35°C) condition, avoiding heat and open flame. And, keep it standing and being closed
2) When you dispose of it, follow the rules.
3) Use if in shelf life. Even if the shelf life passes by, it can be used after checking to our customer center. Because the paint can go deterioration and make settling.
